I’ve written hundreds of articles for major national magazines and websites (AARP, Costco Connection, Family Circle, Fodors.com, Glamour, Reader’s Digest, Shape, USA Today, Woman’s Day, Women’s Health) on other topics, too: Travel, wellness, dieting and nutrition, and dogs, for instance. Today I’m mostly focusing on the travel articles, and where travel intersects with wellness and creativity, for outlets like Fodors.com. l’ve always loved to travel and have had the opportunity to visit most of the states in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. (I hope to join the “50 club” one day, having traveled to all 50 states—and I’m close at around 37 so far). I’ve also been to the Caribbean, western Europe (Paris whenever…for the boulangeries and patisseries and culture), and Australia and New Zealand (bucket-list trip!). I’m proud to be a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association.

  • My travel writing career began with a bridge from my medical writing (yes, I was a medical writer for many years!) when I was asked in 2015 to create a City Preview Guide for attendees of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) Annual Meeting. The first guide I wrote was to Indianapolis, followed by National Harbor, Maryland, New Orleans, Nashville, Seattle, and Orlando in 2020 (though the meeting was COVID-interrupted).
